Who are you?
I have photographed over 100 weddings and have used film and digital mediums. In addition to wedding work, my photographs have been used for many purposes from CD covers to corporate brochures. I'm also a Professional Member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and a member of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).
When will we be able to see the photos?
At the very latest, we aim to complete the editing within 2-3 weeks of the event. This may vary depending on our workload but generally the photos are nearly always ready when you return from Honeymoon.
Will you make us stand in line for hours when all we really want to do is drink champagne?
No, certainly not. I like to capture images of happy people enjoying themselves rather than scowling at me because they're cold, thirsty or bored. If you'd like some group shots, we'll make a plan to capture some relaxed images with as little impact on the rest of the proceedings as humanly possible, leaving you plenty of time to catch up with your guests.
What if the weather is awful?
British weather being what it is, I always make a plan B. That's one of the reasons I make sure I have a check around your venue before the big day. I carry extra lights, backgrounds and several umbrellas just in case of weather emergencies.
What areas do you cover?
It's mainly Wiltshire and Southern England but we are happy to travel!
Are there any hidden extras?
No, there are no hidden extras, all travel and expenses are included. All high resolution images supplied are watermark free. I meticulously retouch each individual photograph. If you want any printing or framing etc after the wedding than naturally there is a charge for this.
Do you cover Civil Ceremonies?
Yes of course. There is even a reduced rate as they tend to be shorter! Typically, we cover the arrival of guests, the ceremony, plus some time for groups and couples portraits afterwards. Obviously we can tailor this based on your requirements.
How many images will we get?
It's difficult to be exact but you'll typically get several hundred. You'll receive the full high res. images.
Who will actually take our photographs?
Don't worry! I will take your photographs. We do not farm work out to others.
Who will own the copyright to the photographs?
Once we provide you with the photographs you are free to do whatever you want with them. I retain the copyright as this makes it easier to use the images on the website or in marketing.
What happens if something goes wrong with your photographic equipment?
Again -don't worry! Professional-grade equipment is always used and we always carry back-up kit.
Do you provide a service for video?
No, we specialise in stills photography and video requires different skills, equipment and software but we have a couple of videographers with whom we regularly work and can pass their details onto you.
Do we need to pay a deposit?
An initial deposit of £150 is required. I then block out that day in the diary. The balance is due 5 weeks before the Wedding Day
How about cancellations?
Should you cancel then you will lose whatever you have paid to date (deposit or deposit and balance). The exception being if the Wedding is re-arranged to a date that we have available. Should we cancel (this has never happened) then you get a full refund of everything you have paid.
How much does it cost?
Obviously this is a key question and one that is very difficult to answer without talking to you, because at this stage I don't know what sort of photographs you'd like or if you want albums for parents or if you just want coverage for the ceremony etc. We probably won't be the cheapest but nor are we stupidly expensive - the aim being to offer quality at a fair price. In any case we can adapt our packages to suit your needs.
